The industry is expected to grow at a Compound Annual Growth Rate (CAGR) of 4.73% over the next 5 years.

The development of the hospitality industry has created a battle between the hotels, not only to attract and retain their customers but also the skilled workforce. In today’s dynamic and continuously changing business world, no one can deny the fact that a qualified, efficient, and skilled workforce is the greatest asset for an organisation. The human asset of an organisation is the most powerful factor that differentiates the organisation from its competitors.

The tourism and hospitality industry is one of the leading job creators across the world, with more than 320 million jobs supported by the sector which is around 10% of all employment. The sector has accounted for one in five of all net new jobs created across the world over the past five years, being a dynamic engine of employment opportunities. However, there is a huge gap between the demand versus the supply of skilled manpower in the industry.

At the Scottish Institute of Hospitality Sciences, we are highly committed to educating and training young talents who will be future assets to the tourism and hospitality industry.
